Academy of Music.

The Academy of Music course is an informative 12 month course that will take you from the absolute basics of theory and playing, to a comprehensive understanding of the techniques that will make up the music you listen to and play.

This is a 2 part course, the first component is a 1 hour per week group class on the theoretical aspects of music. The second part is the practical element, in this section you actually learn to take the theory and combine it in a real players class to help create and learn music.

This course is run over a 2 semester period, much the same as any other tertiary style course. Starting in March and ending in December, you will receive special attention during your theory classes as we have limited the size of each class to allow for that personalized touch.

You will be guided through this course by your teachers every step of the way, we have designed this course for you, using years of study from our teaching base we have constructed a syllabus that revolves around what you need to know to get into playing live or to pass that entry exam for getting into University. You will be able to approach your teacher at anytime for help on a particular area as the emphasis on this course is on quality not quantity.

Of course if you are considering the School Certificate or the H.S.C, this course has proven to be invaluable to past students and we have found that our graduates are consistently scoring in the top 10% of the state at exam times.
